Anne W. Burrell was TV personality and ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. Anne W. Burrell hosts of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. After earning an English and Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America. I enjoyed every moment during my time at The Culinary Institute of America she declares. Culinary Institute of America was a great opportunity to pursue a degree. Following graduation of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners Chef Burrell took a full year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin rating in Tuscany. In Italy Burrell developed a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions. It has had a profound impact on the way that Burrell prepares her food. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to improve the quality of life for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity spokesperson and promotes awareness about the dangers of childhood diabetes. She frequently travels around the nation in her capacity as both a mentor and an invited speaker, where she talks about her work and passion for cooking. Anne always felt fortunate that she could share the passion of her life, and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
