Markie Post
Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek,
California. She started her career with television and film productions like
"Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Later, she
worked on projects such as Double Dare (1976). Also, she has appeared in TV
shows such as 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra
Woman and Dyna Girl (2001). Her most popular role was for her character
"Christine Sullivan" who was the Night Court star (1984). The actress
was on more than 156 episodes of the comedy from 1984 to 1992. Daughter of
Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet, and noted nuclear physicist Richard Freeman
Post (November 14, 1918 - April 7 in 2015). She had two daughters with her
husband, Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26 1987) and Daisy Ross (born
March 30, 1990). She was born in Palo Alto, California and was raised in Walnut
Creek. As cheerleader, she attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek. The
Bachelor of Arts degree at Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon.
She was a trick roper on The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The funeral
was held and her remains were returned to Michael A. Ross. She was a lifelong
Democrat. Markie Post passed away on August 7, 2021. She was just three months
from what would have been her 71st birthday on November 4. Her death occurred
27 days before fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed
died on July 11, 2021. Although they were completely different shows, Night
Court (1984), in which she was a co-star ended in 1992 when Christine Sullivan
leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992), in which Post was a new
character Georgie lahti (who also, coincidentally, had worked for a time in
Washington DC before moving to a smaller area) was released in 1992.
