born in Los Angeles, California in 1970. Her parents moved to Dallas, Texas
shortly after her birth. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School,
Performing and Visual Arts situated in the Arts District. Later she received an
BFA degree from Stephens College in acting and further studied at the British
American Drama Academy. She also worked for six years with the Dallas Theatre
Center, and one year with the Encore Company. Her acting career began in
theaters before her big screen debut. Her stage credits include "As You
Like It", “A Funny Things Happened on the Way to the Forum",
"Measure for Measure", and "Chicago" along with as a variety
of other productions. Her breakout performance was with Angelina Jolie in
Michael Cristofer's well-known HBO Telefilm Gia (1998) that made her popular to
critics and audiences alike. Her charismatic acting skills were evident in the
sci-fi adventure Frequency (2000), which was featuring Dennis Quaid and Neil
LaBute. Elizabeth Mitchell is an actor with many credits, including movies, TV
shows, and theatres. She broke her nose while filming of the film Frequency

Texas. She received her degree from Stephens College in 1991 and was awarded a
Fine Arts Degree. She was in Man and Boy (2002) along with Ioan Gruffudd. The
show was telecast on BBC 1 TV in March 2002.
