Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was born on 27 August 1976 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke. Sarah is the middle of two brothers, one older, Natasha Chalke, one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah made her acting debut with City Boy (1992), the first television-produced film made by TV. In 1993, following her debut film, she was a candidate for the part of "Becky" in the TV show Roseanne (1988). The show was seeking the replacement for Alicia Goranson, who left the show to attend university. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995. She was also involved in the production of Roseanne (1988) between 1994 and 1995. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in Ernest Goes to School (1994). She also appeared in Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand against Fear(1996). In these films, she played the role of Krista Wilson, an athlete. Sarah was invited to be a part in a 1998 show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. The show was released one year following Roseanne (1988). Based on Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (2000), Sarah also played a role in the show. Took over the role of Becky on Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. She said she wanted to take a break from acting and go to college. [2001] (1993-1997) She played Sara Gilbert's older sister on Roseanne (1988), however, she is actually younger. She was a part of the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony, where she received an award for best single of 1999. September 1999: Appeared at the age of 8 in Vancouver's stage productions. A native speaker of French and German. She volunteers in a hospice where patients with terminal illness are treated . She also volunteers with the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. In her leisure moments, Chalke prefers cooking with acquaintances (especially Thai and sushi) playing guitar and hiking, skiing (she's an instructor) or snowboarding, kayaking and reading. Her father is an attorney and both of her parents manage a child-adoption agency. Her parents took her to China to coordinate the adoptions of multiple orphans.
