Yvonne Joyce Craig, May 16, 1937 from May 16, 1937 until August 17, 2015. Craig was an American dancer and actress who was famous for her portrayals as Batgirl on the 1960s ' television series Batman and Marta her character, the Orion slave girl Marta as seen in Star Trek's episode "Whom Gods Deceive" (1969). The Huffington Post referred to her as "a pioneer in female superheroes" on TV. Yvonne Craig was raised in Columbus and was born in Taylorville in Illinois. Her family moved to Dallas in 1951.
