Riley Keough
American actor
Danielle Riley Keough. [2] She was born in Santa Monica to Danny Keough and
Lisa Marie Presley. She is the daughter of Elvis Presley, actress, and singer.
Keough was born in Hawaii by her father, as well as living in Los Angeles by
her mother. She also lived between California and Tennessee together with her
mother. When she was 15 Keough started modelling. She was featured at Dolce
& Gabbana's fashion shows as well as at Christian Dior's shows, and on
Vogue's cover. Keough made her film debut at age 20, appearing in a minor role
in the musical biopic The Runaways (2010), playing Marie Currie. She then
starred in the independent thriller film The Good Doctor (2011) followed by the
horror film Jack & Diane (2012), before being assigned a minor role in
Steven Soderbergh's comedy film Magic Mike (2012). Keough played in numerous
other independent films in 2012 which included Yellow and Kiss of the Damned,
before appearing in the big-budget action feature Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) 4th
installment of the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as
a law student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology series The
Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009 film
of the same name. The character received praise from reviewers and she was
nominated for an Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an actress in a
short motion picture or series made for television. Keough's performance as a
lost young woman in American Honey (2017) garnered her even more praise, as
well as an Independent Spirit Award nomination. In the same year, Keough
starred the apocalyptic horror film It Comes at Night (2017) as well as
reuniting with Soderbergh to play a role in the heist film Logan Lucky. This
was followed by roles in a variety of thriller and horror films in 2018,
including Lars von Trier’s The House That Jack Built and the neonoir Under the
Silver Lake. In the year 2019, Keough starred as the lead in the psychological
horror film The Lodge, followed by another leading role in comedy-drama Zola
(2020). Keough plays Sandy Harrison in Netflix’s 2020 release of The Devil All
the Time.
